Liberty Mutual has an exciting management opportunity in our Automobile Claims Physical Damage operation. We are looking for an individual to manage a team of employees responsible for the appraisal of automobiles. The selected candidate will have complete responsibility for personnel management and oversight of the NY Direct Repair program. Responsibilities: * Manage the technical and procedural performance and results of staff, independent appraiser and Direct Repair Program shops. * Assist claims management in monitoring production goals including automated appraisals and check issuance goals . * Responsible for the selection of Direct Repair Programs shops and drive-in locations to maximize customer satisfaction. Qualifications: * Strong written and oral communication skills * Extensive technical knowledge of all auto body, mechanical and repair equipment. * Knowledge of automated appraisal systems * Bachelors degree plus 7-10 years of experience * Supervisory and or management experience preferred * Licensing and jurisdictional certification needs as required.
