Senior Estimator - Location: Austin, TX Description: Senior Estimator - Commercial Interiors (Please do not apply unless you have commercial experience) Austin, Texas Established Contractor specializing in commercial interiors is looking for an experienced estimator. We are not just looking for someone who just wants a job but someone that wants a career. We care about our people and in return we expect them to care about the company?s success. We are looking for an individual who knows what they want and is looking for a place to succeed. The position is responsible for putting together budgets as well as estimates from $50,000 to several million dollars on commercial interiors. This individual is responsible for representing the company and being able to deal professionally with all types of real estate professionals as well as tenants and property managers. You must be proficient with Excel and Outlook as well as other Microsoft applications. You must be good at following through and picking up every detail of your estimates as well as communicating with your team. OTHERS QUALIFICATIONS: Honesty Excellent verbal communication skills Strong Facilitation skills Ability to successfully work with a team of construction professionals Must be able to maintain a sense of urgency in order to meet critical deadlines Must have minimum 5 years experience working with commercial interiors Must be honest, dedicated and a career oriented individual with passion for the business Ability to ask competent questions and make thought out decisions Ability to develop creative decisions, demonstrate leadership and have team building qualities. Need to be proficient with Microsoft applications using Excel, Word and Project. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct site surveys actual condition of each project Ensure that the estimates are thought out and turned in timely. Ensure all bids are in compliance with all applicable codes and governmental regulations etc. Making sure there is a good chain of communication between all associated parties involved in the construction estimation process.
